Print Friendly has ‘exploded’ a Google map (created by plugin ‘Store Locator Plus’) into multiple square map parts. That is, each ’tile’ of the Google map is placed on the right side of the print preview/edit pop-up and the component parts of the map (like the zoom-in zoom-out control) are each shown as seeparate images below the ’tiles’. Hope you can help because I really like Print Friendly and hope I can use the ad free version soon.

  • Hi,

Is there a live web page that I can visit to see the issue for myself?

I am having the very same problem with a real estate site I manage. Everything is fine until PF gets to the map and then it prints multiple pages of various map parts, icons, etc. Here’s a PDF example:

    https://bennettprop.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/print_friendly_sample.pdf

Print Friendly is not currently active on the site due to the Google map issue. I’m using another method for printing listings, but it’s not nearly as elegant as Print Friendly.

I see there is a “workaround” posted here:

    https://support.printfriendly.com/customer/portal/articles/242169

However that won’t work with this site as the maps are generated by the theme, AgentPress.

I noted there were several other posts asking about the same issue over the past couple of years that are now closed without a resolution.

I use Print Friendly on several other sites as it’s a terrific plugin. I’d like to use it on this real estate site as well.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    TIA!

Thanks for bringing this back to our attention. We will take another look and see what we can do.

Short-term, you could use our Custom Commands to exclude the element. Add class=”print-no” to the parent element.

Thanks very much for looking into this!

Unfortunately not having a map isn’t an option for a real estate business. However I’ll certainly be looking forward to your plugin working with Google Maps soon…it’s awesome otherwise.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers,

    Rich
