The root cause was solved within 48 hours of the issue being reported to us. Unfortunately, some sites were still effected due to a public disclosure being released before all users could update.
Since then, we have released various updates to cleanup any marker fields that were exploited. This is an automatic process which is run when updating the basic plugin.
In most cases, exploited fields should be cleared by the latest updates. Of course, there are some patterns which we are not yet aware of, and it is not possible to account for all potential snippets which were stored in the markers.
