Export ALL

When you do a basic export, you get all the saved form submissions. I don’t see how you would only get those from a certain category unless you explicitly set up the export with a filter on category.

There is no settings for basic export
In DB settings i have true on contact form 7 and almost everything else is false

I forgot to mention that i have multiple Contact Forms and obviously they are named differently. So your plugin collects all emails from all forms and split them by name of CF7.

If i go to DB drop down list next to export will give me option for every single category but there is no option to have collective.

Or im missing something here?

You confused me by using “category” when you mean “form”.

If you go to the Shortcode page and create and export link, you can select * All Forms * then click the link to export

Solution described above worked (but partially): it did exported all emails with a lot of content….

But it was missing the “form” name – the name of each “contact form 7”.
I am using it as category to differentiate type of users – which is crucial in my case.

Is there a way to do it via shortcode page?

You can’t get the form name as a column in the export. You would have to have a field to identify which category a form submission is.

I recommend to put a hidden field in your form to identify the category rather than use the form name.

Since you are using Contact Form 7, you could also turn on the CFDB Option to
– Save Page Title from Contact Form 7 submissions
– Save Page URL from Contact Form 7 submissions
which will add fields to your form submissions. If your category is based on which page the form is placed on, this might work for you.

Just wondering: if DB can recognize different contact form names … but it cannot use it as a column how about multiple tabs within one excel file?

No, it does not support creating multiple tabs. Good idea though.
