Export and Import

  • I havent found a export blog to xml link on my wordpress install..can anybody help me find it.

    Also in the import links there is no option to import from another WordPress blog..what do i do?

    alrite the rss option did the import part..

    still cant export my wordpress blog…??????

    I shift my server to another one but I forget to export my articles from wp-admin. So I cant see any old articles in my new server after installing. What I have to do to bring my articles to the new server. I have backed up the db and imported into new one. Is the articles not stored in the DB ? then where its come from ? Please explain.

    This is how I exported links – a friend told me how to do it.

    1. Go to https://www.yourname.com/blog/wp-links-opml.php
    2. When you press Enter, you will get an XML file of your links.
    3. Do a Save Page As and save that page as an XML file. Call it blogroll.opml
    4. Go to the Blogroll section of WordPress and click on Import Links.
    Select the blogroll.opml file and click on the button Import OPML
    File.
    5. I just tried this with mine and it worked like a charm.
