• Did read most of the posts on it, and no I NO-WAY!!! wanna drop WP…

I have a site for a friend of mine who’s travelling in SouthEast Asia and Australia… Somewhere in July she will be back and as a welcome-home gift I would like to give her a book with all her posts and pictures bundled in it…

Needless to say I am looking for an easy way to export the posts of this blog. Already tried to export from PHPMySQL, but I get so much non-usefull info, I better copy paste post by post…

    Anybody?

  • yeah I think so, better copy paste post by post…

Adobe Acrobat has a feature where you can crawl all or part of a web site and make a single, continuous PDF.

Using this, I’ve crawled my entire WP pages based site, with the result being one long 200 page document.

The final results might need some trimming, but this is an excellent method of concatenating otherwise linked content.

No way would I do it post by post.

    Thanks guys!
    I’ll look into this…

    Could be useful

If you like doing things post-by-post, perhaps…otherwise, it’s no better than manual cut/paste into a master doc. It also requires installation and configuration on the backend. Acrobat requires a purchase of course, but it’s a good tool with uses well beyond this example.

Acrobat’s website crawl is hand’s off – you just set the url, depth and stay within site and go…nothing to do but sit on your hands until the run is complete. Very simple.

Thanks again, I have a paid copy of Acrobat at work… so that’ll do just fine!
Will revert as soon as I have tried it!
