I export my search data onto a spreadsheet every two months to keep track, and in the past my export always includes the search terms, Term ID, number of searches, and number of results. Last time I did this was February 1, 2023.

Today when I exported, the spreadsheet that downloaded only contains Average Results and Date and Time. Is this a bug? If not, can you tell me what I need to do differently to get the search terms and number of searches and results to show in my exported file?

    Thanks!

    Hello @kitchenstew ,

    Sorry for replying so late.

The issue is actually not a bug, but a feature. Whenever you click the Export Data button it exports the currently viewed results.

The results you are seeing on the latest export show that you clicked Export Data after you clicked on a search term to view the results for it. In that case, it only exports the Average Results and Date and Time because you already know what term you exported data for.

In order to be able to export the whole list for a certain time period, make sure you go on the main page of Search Analytics – mysite.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=search-analytics%2Fadmin%2Fincludes%2Fclass.stats.php – apply the date interval and then click the Export Data. In this case you’ll get the results you are used to.

Please let me know how did that go.

Thank you for getting in touch and for using my plugin,

Thanks for your quick reply, Cornel. I did exactly as you said and pasted the URL you shared (replacing “mysite” with my actual site) and changed the date range, clicked filter, selected all, and then clicked export. I got the same results as before, just the two columns.

    What gives?

@kitchenstew you don’t need to select all. The export button will export all the data in the current search.

I tested on 3 of the websites I currently manage and all of them run as expected on both WP 6.1.1 and WP 6.2.

If it still doesn’t work, I can send you an email address where you can send me credentials to your website and I can go in and check it.

    Let me know,

Hooray! Not “selecting all” did the trick and I got the report I was looking for. Thank you for your help!

P.S. We just had the Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe you have on your website. They are delicious!
