    Hi,
    I have a huge problem.
I need to transfer my tooooooo old woocommerce shop (ver. 2.1) onto a new site with orders. But problem arises – I can import only standard xml thru wordpress export (because of icreasing php version crushes the site) and after an import of exported data I see orders without product information. Can you help me to solve the problem?
    All 3rd party plugins don’t work ??

  • Hey @digestsua !

It sounds like you are having trouble importing orders from an older version of WooCommerce to a newer version of WooCommerce.

The way that your orders are populated with the correct products is based on SKU’s. You will need to make sure your products on your new site have the exact same SKU’s or else it will not recognize this.

It may also be helpful if you first export from your new site so you know what the import file should look like. If you are not able to get the XML to work you may want to look at using our CSV Importer to create a CSV file rather than an XML like you are using now.

Please let me know if that helps.

    Hi,
I have imported all the products with their SKU’s into the new site thru standard wordpress import-export. And they *have* SKU’s so it is not a problem.
Unfortunately I cannot install any of the 3rd party products – site is tooooo old and uses php 5.4 – and all attempts to upgrade resulted to crash. Only standard WP export works but all export stops the site – only individual export completes.
I don’t understand what to do in that case…

The next question: Could I transfer orders thru phpmyadmin?
Basic version of the plugin mentioned doesn’t work ??

    Hey @digestsua !

I am sorry this does sound like a bit of a predicament. I am sorry for the frustration this is causing.

I do not think we have a solution to export/import from a site that old. If you wanted to do this from the database you would need to contact a developer to help. It is not something we would be able to guide you through, it is extremely advanced and time-consuming.

It may also be helpful if you tried to use WP Migrate DB to move some of the orders. This can also be tricky and not something we would be able to support you in.

    I hope this helps.

The question is – WHY standard WordPress export/import of orders doesn’t work. Third party plugins is not a solution because of it should be a core feature.
