Export Links to Spreadsheet and back into WP

I have a huge number of links and using the admin tools in WP is a huge pain. Has anyone just dumped the links tables out into an excel spreadsheet for easier editing, then import it back in or think of some other solution. There is some link plugin that does bulk edits for some attributes but not all of them.
