• Since about 7pm last night when wordpress automatically updated, when i click any if the export buttons on the general settings page, the page reloads and nothing else happens. I’ve tried de-activating and reactivating with no success and the event I needed the contact form for is tomorrow ??

is there any other way to get the saved form submissions, or a way to fix this problem quickly?

    thanks in advance guys ??

  • I can also report the same problem, any update on this?

hmm… across each site where I used Custom Contact Forms the forms I made simply vanished.

    Help!

Also cannot export anymore. This is a critical feature of this plugin. I managed to get the data out of the sql table but it’s ugly. I can’t figure out how the plugin converts it to a normal csv file. Cannot figure why it’s not working.

Help please. We have forms submitted every week that need to be exported for another use.

Deactivating the plugin, deleting it, and then uploading the previous version zip file (5.1.0.3) via host’s file manager and extracting it there, and reactivating plugin in WP fixed the problem for me. All of my previous saved forms were still there and I was able to export them just as I have in the past.

So whatever critical security fix .4 fixed messes up the export function. Will not upgrade it until the developer responds here that there is a new release that fixes the security problem AND the export problem.

5.1.0.3 is definitely NOT a good thing to have live at your site.

I’ve seen first hand some bad code inside site’s footer most likely due to the non-secure version of the plug-in.

For your reference, here’s the link about the plug-in issue:
    https://blog.sucuri.net/2014/08/database-takeover-in-custom-contact-forms.html

What I ended up doing took a while, but everything seems ok:

Updated the plug-in, then using the “way back machine” internet archive tool at https://archive.org/web/ followed along the old copy of the forms I made and just re-made them from scratch…

best of luck and be careful, this malware/hack stuff is no joke and wastes a ton of time…

But that code is exactly what I need – the downnload export to CSV file. I could use any other form plugin for emailing me form data – I need a form that also lets me export the saved data to a csv file.

I don’t understand what you are doing with the archive tool. My one form is not that complicated. I could recreate it but I need to be able to use that download to CSV file function. Will upgrading and recreating the form allow that?

If that function is the issue and there isn’t a way to make it secure, then I’m in a world of hurt. As are the other people in this thread who also need the export function.

I’m also experiencing the same problem, hitting any export button just refreshes the page back to the top. I also tried chmod-ing to 777 the import and export folders to no success. My client relies on the CSV export, any status on a fix??

I am experiencing the same issue – none of the Export buttons do anything. I also checked permissions and still nothing. Only the newest version of CCF is not working – previous versions work just fine. Our forms are pretty complex so I do not want to mess with anything that could endanger them.

Please resolve this issue as my client relies on these export files.

    Hi,

Sorry here is what I am doing to overcome:

    1) You can delete the plugin in without losing any submissions (or at least i could) To be safe I created a copy of the website.
    2) Download 5.1.0.3 from here – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/custom-contact-forms/developers/
    3) Install the old version of the plugin
Finish at this point only if you are happy to accept the massive security issues.
    4) Download all your submissions
    5) Delete custom contact forms plugin
    6) Choose a new Form plugin. Here is a list – https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/resources/exploring-the-best-wordpress-form-plugins
    7) Recreate your form using a new plugin

Good luck everyone. Hope this has helped

Yes, delete the new plugin and reinstall the old version of plugin could help.

Can developer help to fix the new version plugin so it could perform the export function? Thanks.
