    Hello

My apologies, as I haven’t worked on this website, WordPress and WPPA in almost 5 years. I am sure this question has been asked before.

How can I export photos from my WPPA library into the WordPress Media Library so I can use the photos for other purposes, galleries, plugins etc.?

I now realize it is not practical having 2 media libraries and not knowing which library has certain photos/images.

    Thank you
    Andrew

If you set the status of a photo to featued, it will automatically be copied into the wp media. You may reset the status back to what it was before.

    Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I see how that works.

    One more question.
Can I add photos from the WordPress Media Library into a WPPA Album?
I only see options to Upload and Import into WPPA Album and both options do not look like they can access the WordPress Media Library.
    Are they separate media libraries?

Thank you again for your patience. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with WP, WPPA and this website.

Go to the wppa import photos page.

Select Import from local ( if it is not yet selected )

Select an item like wp-content/uploads/2022/8 in the next selectionbox where it says — My depot — by default; this example stands for uploads in august 2022.

The months that do not contain any usefull uploads are disabled against selection

You should get a list of importable items after you selected a folder

    Hello

Ok, I think, I see how it works now to import from the WP Media Library into WPPA.
It seems a bit awkward unless you know the month the image was uploaded or you go to the WP Media Library, find/search for the images needed and then work from that point back into WPPA.
Anyway, I will mark this as resolved.
    Thank you again

Yes. the wp method of organizing per month is the most useless way.

If you had plugin Realmedia installed and organized it there, you could import that structure directly into wppa
