    Howdy,

At this time the Awesome Surveys plugin does not provide that functionality. It is on my ‘to-do’ list to create an extension that will export to CSV.

Hello! Thank you for your plugin:) I’m also interested in export to CSV option. Let me know on priv if you could develop it for me ?? [email protected]

So I’ve been doing a bit of work on building an extension that will do this – but I quite frankly don’t know how it should work. Would either of you, or anyone else for that matter, be willing to put some work into testing and providing detailed feedback about how you think it should work?

I’ll help. I’d really like to use the plugin but must have the ability to export results. If you already have something for me to test/look at/provide feedback that would be great.

    Howdy dawnatupd8,

You can download the zip file for the extension here

And just to be clear, the extension does nothing useful yet – this is simply a UI feasibility test. So go forth, download & install and give me feedback. Let’s build this thing.

Wouldn’t it be easier to add the “export to CSV” feature into the “Your survey results” tab?

Perhaps and I’m certainly open to suggestions. If you you have an idea of how to implement the export functionality within the “Your survey results” tab, send me a pull request on the Awesome Surveys github repo

me too. I would like to export the results so that I can display them. export to csv would be fine for me.
I can beta test if you need someone else.

got it. seems to be just perfect.
Of course the next thing will be that we want to show the results on the web site. LOL

ok everything gets messed up if they put a comma in their answer.
And also if we put a comma in the question.
the csv makes a new field with each comma.

I fixed some bugs and improved overall functionality (correct file encoding, enclosing of strings containing , with “)

Is this addon also on github?

I would like to help improve this addon.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I’ve created a github repo for the export to CSV extension. It would probably be best if any bug reports or feature requests for it go in the issue tracker on github.

Any updates on this? I need to get results out on Tuesday.
I went to the github link and it looks like nothing has happened.
How do I get the newest version from github. I tried downloading it as a zip and installing it through wp and I got an error message.

Hi, sorry I’ve been rather busy and my first tests where inconclusive especially if there where multiple , and ” combinations in the answer.
But if your data is not that crazy it should work with no problem.

Nevertheless I don’t want to publish it because I’m not that satisfied with the solution just yet.

But because you need the “dirty fix” here is a download link to the files with the “fixes”: (it will be taken down once the github repo is up to speed)
    https://upload.bitconnect.at/awesome-surveys-export-csv.zip

instead of installing it with WP just unpack the file in your plugins folder on your server.
