• Hi. I know this has been asked at various points along the way here, but I’ve searched the forums, and I don’t think anyone has found any answers–at least none that work for 3.x WordPress. My apologies if I missed an answer.

I’m trying to export a Joomla site with several hundred articles to WordPress 3.0.1. I’ve tried the Mambo2Wordpress Import Wizard suggested at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/joomla-to-wordpress-again , as well as the Joomla2WP plugin, and both choke. Has anyone had luck with other plugins or tools?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hi cormacfoster did you ever find a solution to this?

Yes I did, I migrated my Joomla to WordPress, few day ago, that was perfect done, all data are converted and added to wordpress w/o any issue within few hours.
I moved sections, categories, articles, files, tags and users to WordPress, here are that guys check this out.

I’d really like to know if anyone who has had any success with this could post more information on it,
I have a website I’d like to transfer over to WP.

    Thanks in advance,
    James

I have tried this and it worked well.

my BIG problem are the links. I have thousands of links to my joomla site and I can’t redirect them to the right article on WordPress, so I can’t move my Joomla site to WordPress or I will lose all my links.

    Any solution?

btw, I used the plugin “Joomla 1.5 Importer”
