• Hi Roland

Is it possible to export one working PD from one website to put on another website, including all the images in use?

If so, can you advice how please?

Participants Database (if you are not using the Image Expansion ad-on) keeps all uploaded files in the “File Upload Location” as configured in the plugin settings. Copy and move all the files in that directory into the same directory (relative to the WP root) on the new install.

The records and configuration can be transferred by copying the wp_participants_database, wp_participants_database_fields, and wp_participants_database_groups tables to the new install.

Thanks Roland, that’s helpful and I will try it out soon!

I’m wondering though, as I have been using PD for so many years now, how to get rid of images that are no longer in use (and before I started using IE kit)!

Also I’m using IE kit on the clients’ galleries, but the normal upload for the main headshot -I suppose that will be lost?

The plugin does not provide a way to delete “orphan” files that are not attached to a record. I know that this presents a bit of a problem for a large database that may have a lot of files to sort through. You may opt to just transfer all the files and overlook the inefficiency of including files that are not in use.

For images that were uploaded using the image expansion kit, may want to use a plugin that provides a way to selectively export WP media items, such as WP All Export.
