• Hi there!
Hope you’re having a great week so far.

    A few questions:

    1) I was wondering if I could export this blog: https://paalistenup.wordpress.com/ … and save it to my desktop without taking down the site? Does that make since?

I just don’t want to export it then the blog is no longer on https://paalistenup.wordpress.com/

    2) The reason why is because we building a new website and we want to put this blog on the new site … sooooo, when importing the blog will it import all the Archives? (this might be a novice question but I just want to make sure)

I would like to test it without messing up his current blog site.

    I hope I make since.

    Thank you for your support,
    Christine ??

1 and 2. Yes, you can definitely do that without messing up the current site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

You have a WordPress.com blog, which can operate very differently from a self-hosted www.ads-software.com blog.

    Hi MacManX (James)!

First, thank you so much for your response.

Yes, I do realize the that the blog will appear or be seen differently on the new self-hosted website: (here is the new website just so you can see: https://cda.6e5.myftpupload.com/

I’ll be transferring the blog from https://paalistenup.wordpress.com/ to the new site. I told the client that it will look different and he’ll probably be posting differently also. Am I correctly in saying this?

I’ve work with WordPress since 2008 but this is my first time moving a blog.

    Thanks again MacManX,
    Christine ??

Yep, it will look and operate just a bit differently, but it will certainly be much more familiar than moving to an entirely different system. ??
