We have moved our blog subscribers to a new system and have successfully exported the email addresses listed under “email followers”. Is there any way to add the users listed under “followers”?

Alternatively, are we able to notify them somehow so that they subscribe manually to the new system?

I just want to check I’ve understood correctly — are you asking whether it is possible to export the subscribers listed under “Followers” (so they can be added and subscribed to a new site)?

Please correct me if I’ve misunderstood and we can go from there.

It’s not to subscribe them to a new site, but to a new subscription management script (ie not jetpack)

I would need to export the email addresses (and ideally first name).

FYI – I fully expect the answer to be “not possible”, but I need to give my client an answer and a reason for it ??

    Hi @greenpandaim,

Your hunch is correct ?? The “Followers” section lists people who are following using their WordPress.com accounts (with a username).

It’s only possible to move followers between WordPress.com and Jetpack sites using the transfer tool — not outside of this system.
