Exporting Issues

After making the change from WordPress to Squarespace, I am in the process of attempting to import my old material from my blog to the new site. Unfortunately when I attempt to log in, I’m told that the page could not be found. I’m a bit confused. Does WordPress erase all material when users switch platforms? If so, where does this material go? Any answers would be appreciated!
