Expose method for getting the current editor type

    Thank you for the plugin, it has proved very useful for us while working on the block editor but still keeping the classic editor available.

    I do have one suggestion, as I’ve been impeded by this a couple times, it would be really nice if the plugin exposed a way to get the currently active editor easily. The “is_classic” method seems perfect for this, but it’s marked private so no access from outside.

    Is there any particular reason why that method can’t be made public? Or, is there another way to get which editor is currently active?

    I could not agree more, it’s kind of hard to maintain a website with a custom post type that allow you to use both editors. As this is something you support, we should have an easy API method to know wether the current post is within classic or block editor please.
