    Hi there,

Congratulations! I think your ‘Rate my Post – WP Post Rating’ is the best rating plugin for WP even though it gave me a little trouble as follows.

What I actually searching for was an automated rating plugin that is working based on a different algorithm, without any users’ votes. The website that uses the same kind of system is “https://cryptwerk.com/rating-algorithm/”, and you can find details on how it is working on that webpage.

Anyway, I started searching for one plugin working similar to that started by reading many related online reviews on “star rating WP plugins” and trying to download and test in my WP environment. So far, I tried way more than ten plugins and found the fact that it is unusually and surprisingly difficult to find even one rating plugin that works without serious bugs, unlike most WP plugins out there for other purposes. After repeated installations and deletions of all those good sounding star rating plugins during the last two days, I finally found not only sophisticated backend, but that actually works and shows me all the results of my backend configuration immediately, as what it promises. However, I see a couple of very small bugs that I am trying to report to you now.

After all, even though I found those 2 bugs, and it is still not the one that I was originally started searching for, I am still very happy to see one that is working based on complicated yet highly sophisticated adamantine.

    1) It reveals some codes on the listings pages below the star rating display.
    2) The star rating display should be at the bottom of the listing, but it is not. When you see on a computer, it looks fine while on a mobile device, video and contact info portions change their places by moving down all the way then take place below the rating. Therefore, the rating display part becomes sandwiched in the middle of the listing content.

The business directory plugin that I am working on with your plugin is a free version of “Advanced Classified and Directory Pro (ACADP)”.

On the other hand, I would like to ask you if you have the rating system that works like the one I mentioned above which I was looking for or can customize ‘Rate my Post’ for a reasonable fee.

Thank you for reading this long message.

    Cheers,

    Hi @bullboy,

    1. I’m aware that in combination with some “custom post type” plugins the structured data is printed on the frontend. I’m investigating this issue, but it’s very likely that the problem is in these “custom post type” plugins – they remove the script tags for structured data from the plugin.

    2. Plugin utilizes the_content filter to automatically add widgets to posts which is a bit tricky because other plugins and a theme might also use it – it’s hard to control the order of the outputs. For full control of the widget position I recommend including the widget directly to the post template. More about this here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/duplicated-rating/

As for the algo rating, that’s a very different concept from my plugin and you will probably need a developer to implement such a system for you ??

    Regards,

    Hi,

I appreciate your prompt and helpful replies to all pending issues.

I might give up searching what I wanted and use ‘Rate my Post – WP Post Rating’ instead if it is really hard to find since I also like ‘Rate my Post’ a lot. Let me try your suggestions to deal with those little issues first.

I am sure you are right on the following. I’ve seen this happens with another famous WP plugin for star rating also.

“1. I’m aware that in combination with some “custom post type” plugins the structured data is printed on the frontend. I’m investigating this issue, but it’s very likely that the problem is in these “custom post type” plugins – they remove the script tags for structured data from the plugin.”

    Hi,

I’ve just found that the other plugin developer recently enhanced the security of their plugin by employing ‘wp_kses_post’ and that is why your plugin got some confliction with theirs.

    Thank you for update.

It seems that not only ‘Rate my Post – WP Post Rating’ but their plugin rejects most other rating plugins from working with theirs.

    Cheers,
