Hi @paradox1981,
I’m using Woocommerce and my Express Checkout options appear really slow.. Like 6 7 seconds. The checkout page itself loads up instantly. I am using funnel kit checkout page and funnel kit stripe integration. However the express payment options (Google pay/Apple pay) appeared as slow with the webtoffee stripe Plugin as well.
From what I understand, you’re experiencing a slowdown with the Express Checkout options on your WooCommerce site, particularly with Google Pay and Apple Pay. They are taking about 6-7 seconds to load, even though the checkout page itself loads instantly. You’ve also mentioned that you’re using the Funnel Kit checkout page and Funnel Kit Stripe integration and that the slowdown was also noticeable with the WebToffee Stripe plugin.
Firstly, I’d like to assure you that it’s perfectly okay not to be a developer. We’re here to help you navigate through this.
Here are a few steps you can take to possibly resolve this issue:
- Update All Plugins and Themes: Ensure that all your plugins, themes, and WordPress itself are up-to-date. Outdated versions can cause compatibility issues and slow down your site.
- Test for plugin conflicts: Try deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce and see if the problem continues. If it doesn’t, reactivate the plugins one at a time until you find the one causing the issue.
- Try a default theme: Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme, like Storefront, and see if the problem persists. If it doesn’t, the issue might be with your current theme. Here’s a handy guide on testing for conflicts: ?? How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts.
- Check with your web hosting provider: If the server is slow, it can affect the speed of your site. You might want to contact your hosting provider and ask if there are any issues on their side.
- Contact Plugin Developers: If the issue persists after these steps, it might be related to the specific payment plugin you’re using. In this case, reaching out to the developers of Funnel Kit or WebToffee could be helpful.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, could you share your site’s System Status with us? This will help us understand your site’s setup better and identify the problem. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status
. Select Get system report
and then Copy for support
.
Also, if there are any fatal error logs, we would appreciate it if you could share those with us. You can find them under WooCommerce > Status > Logs

Once you’ve collected this information, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com to paste it and share the link with us.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation! We’re committed to helping you resolve this issue.
