Express checkout without a PayPal account not working

    Hi,

    I’ve this ticked
    Allow customers to checkout without a PayPal account using their credit card,
    and it is set to ON in PP account, still I am required to create an PP account when I checkout.

    I’ve wp 4.0 and woo 2.2.4 Been searching but cannot find anything related, any workaround or fix you know of to pay without creating an account?

    Also, I have some free reports, how can I skip the PP button on the product pages when it’s free? Any snippet or other tricks you know of?

    Do you have Guest Checkout enabled in the general WC checkout settings? Also, is PayPal Account Optional enabled in the PayPal account?

    Yes both are enabled.

    It sounds to me like they simply aren’t offering guest checkout for that scenario then. Something must be different than what worked earlier. It could even be that some buyers in France work fine and others don’t.

    ok, I will check if this is the case on a different devise in France. Is it possible that it would take some time to activate properly?

    For what to activate? Not sure I follow you there..??

    I mean, when I change the settings, can it take something like a day to register the changes or should they be instantaneous?

    No, that would be instant.

    Ok, I am not sure what my next step could be.
    Do you have a website that uses Guest Checkout so I can check it from france to see if it is my website or just that guest checkout is not working in france anymore?

    Looking again through the thread. To remove the Nigeria issue we removed a line, could this be the issue?

    That’s where the “Use WordPress Locale Code” comes into play. If that’s disabled then it shouldn’t be hitting Nigeria. If yours is still hitting Nigeria then I would ask if you’re sure you re-saved the settings page..?? Even if all the options were already set the way you wanted them you still need to click the save button on those settings.

    Sorry I wasn’t clear, the Nigeria issue is truly gone. no problem with this at all.

    We’ve covered all the bases then. Nothing in the new plugin would change that functionality, because again, I have no control over it other than the options we’ve covered already.

    Hi, just a quick update on this issue.
    After speaking to PayPal. They said that Guest Check out for UK based Paypal Accounts should only be available in the UK. To be able to get it worldwide you need to use PayPal Pro.
