    Hi

    I love the plugin. I have several hundred popups on my site. I have an animation speed of 350ms for all. Is there a quick and easy way to change all to 50ms as pop up opening too slowly? Updating a table on db? I don’t want to go through all posts and update them individually.

    Thanks
    James

  • Hello @vocejames:

    The performance of your web site probably has less to do with the Popup Maker plugin, and more to do with the type of content you are passing into your popup containers. Unoptimized images, videos, and calls to third-party APIs (e.g. Google Maps) as content within your popup can all slow down your site. Magnify the impact on performance by the number of popups activated to load on any given page, and you will eventually slow down your site.

    Some ways to improve performance using Popup Maker:

    – Use an image compression plugin to optimize images and graphics placed into popups;

    – reduce or if possible eliminate the amount of video inside your popup container;

    – reduce or if possible eliminate calls to third-party APIs within your popups;

    – think through the necessity of activating so many popups on your site, and targeting the pages on which they are active through the use of your Conditions;

    – purchase our Remote Content plugin extension for Popup Maker to manage multiple popups that are targeted to appear on a specific page.

    You have control over the animation speed setting of your ‘Auto Open’ trigger. The value of 350 ms is simply a default. It can be overwritten by highlighting the time setting, and typing in a different value. Changing the setting from 350 to 50 milliseconds will have no impact on plugin performance, and will make no difference to your site visitors. They won’t notice a difference in the display time because the human brain can’t process the information any faster than 350 ms.
