Extend search capabilities

Hello, my current theme utilizes WooCommerce search, which is great as it directs my site visitors to product specifically. However I would like to include posts in that search as my products are cross referenced in blog posts regarding usage and such. is there a line of code I might add to achieve this? I have tried numerous plug-ins but none seem to offer a simple clean solution. Perhaps someone is familiar with this and it has been achieved already?
