Extend the profiles tabs

    Hello,

    Is there a way to extends the profiles tabs. And create a new one, with a ‘post’ : title of post for the tab name and the content of a custom post by example ? In this way the people can extends easyly their profiles with shortcodes.

    Profile tabs can only be added with custom code, but it’s pretty advanced

    Wow too complicated… I think a simple tool to add them would be nice. (and inside the tab the content of a CPT post by example) so the shortcodes can works inside etc… would be cool I think.

    I’m afraid it’s not as simple as it sounds, and it’s not something we are going to implement, as it would lead to too much support.

    It’s a feature we prefer to stay limited to developers.

    Hello OK thank for the information, I wish (for you) someday it’ll change because that’s the main reason I tried another plugin (UserWP). (and bought their LTD licence too).

    A lot of people aren’t PHP coders in the wordpress scene, but they also want to control the maximum things too. This thing can be controlled very easily once it’s made for. (also for buddypress).

    I think it’s a very important and basic function to have for letting someone build his own community. And more I also think it help a lot for the trust of the software solution too.
