Extend WordPress with a forum?

Hi all,

I’m planning to use WordPress for a new website that I’m making.

But I like to have a forum on this website as wel. Well, that’s a problem because there are 348329483092483209 diffrent forum scripts.

But what I would like is a forum that will integrated with WordPress so that my users / guest don’t have register twice and have to login twice.

So my question, is there a forum plugin for wordpress? Of is there a script that can be intregated the way I just described?

*This* forum uses bbPress.

You could also check out Vanilla. There are a bunch out people using it with WP.

Hmm, bbPress doesn’t support categories? And Vanilla does.. I only hope that my users understand Vanilla.. ??

Don’t know – never used it. I’m just saying, you wanted something that integrates with WordPress, can’t get much more “integrated” than the forum WordPress developed and uses. ??

I find it odd that it *wouldn’t* – I would think that anything WordPress supports bbPress would, as well. Just a matter of finding the right code, I suppose.

But like I said, I’ve never used it myself, so I don’t know for sure ??
