Extended Album View Gallery Titles Missing

Dear brycef,

Please also make the title visible within the shortcode of your extended album. Thank you.

Hi, the shortcode in use is:
[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”112″ gal_title=”Aviation Photos”]

Upon generating the shortcode there is no option to enable gallery titles.

Please send me the proper syntax to enable.

Go to the back end of the post/page, where you have the album published. Here click on the camera icon, the shortcode with its three columns will appear. On the first column set Image title to “Always show”. Thank you.

Hi, the setting for Image title is set to “Always show.” Image titles show up fine. The issue is that the Title for my Gallery does not display.

Any ideas?

The shortcode syntax cannot be provided, since the shortcode you get generated gets reduced to three lines for a better display. Within the shortcode you should check out the first column. Here you have both show images and show album title options. Please set both to yes. Thank you.

Hello again, I am sorry, but I still see no option for Album Title. There is only option for image title. Is it missing from my install? I am using v1.2.36.

Yes, please update the version of the Photo Gallery. This should fix the issue of the shortcode display. Thank you.

ok I am very confused, or you are. The plugin page shows that 1.2.36 is the most current version, which I stated that I am on. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/photo-gallery/

That screenshot shows settings for Compact Album. I have stated multiple times that I am using Extended Album.

The extended album does display the title of the gallery to which the user is navigating, thus having only Back button to get to the original view, where the other galleries are listed. There is no purpose of displaying the gallery title, since the user has already chosen the gallery he/she wanted to navigate to.

In my case, I feel it will provide a sense of what the user is looking at, since all you see is Page Title, then the gallery with back link. It would be nice to include that option as a feature, instead of discrediting its purpose.
