Extending woocommerce guide

Hello!
Are there any guides/documentation for extending woocommerce? I’m interested in adding options to the edit product screen both for single products and for variable products. I also need to modify the cart, specifically the cart item meta and product price. I want to be able to offer certain variations (marked by a checkbox in the edit page) of a product at a per unit price, adding a box on the product frontend page for length and then modify the cart price to match.
