    Hi,
we are using Events Calendar with Avada theme. I configured 2 additional fields (contact details for submitted community events) which should be hidden on the single events page. Therefore the Events Calendar PRO Extension: Hide Additional Fields Version 1.0.0 is installed. The fields are hidden, but I get the following error:
Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, bool given in /www/htdocs/w0129062/website.com/wp-content/plugins/tribe-ext-hide-additional-fields/src/views/community-field-options.php on line 28
    name=”custom-hidden[]” > Phone number
Error is also visible in the backend as logged in user.
What do I have to change at the current extension or how can I achieve, that these additional fields are not displayed at the single events page without using the extension?

    Thanks for your help!
    Regards

  • Hi @stzlichtenbrg

It might be that the extension needs to be maintained to work with the recent version of The Events Calendar, since we are limited in resources and we don’t officially support extensions, I would suggest an alternative way for now, did you try simply hiding these fields you don’t want with CSS? If you need help with that, just let me know which fields exactly you want to get rid of, so I can help you with the CSS snippet.

    Thanks.

    Hi alaasalama,
sorry for my delayed reply and thanks a lot for your suggestion.
This is exactly what I did but as the additional fields contain contact data of the event organizer, I would prefer to hide these sensitive information and not only to make it invisible as it is still displayed in the source code.
Any hints how I can achieve this would be very appreciated.

    Best regards

    Hi @stzlichtenbrg

If you don’t want to use CSS here, you’ll want to create a template override and hide the data that way.

You can read more about template overrides here:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/customizing-template-files/
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/custom-templates-for-the-updated-calendar-views/

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi Jaime
Thanks you very much for the links.
This seems to bee more complicated than just hiding the fields via CSS but is more what I want to achieve.
Will test this when I have some time.

    Thanks
