External image option does not work

Hi,

the “Use external image URL, Ignore feature post thumbnail” option does not seem to work. When I use the “Featured image” option with the tag [#item_image], it works like a charm. However, when I use the “External image” option from the advanced settings, no image is being imported.

I did several tests with different feeds. Same result.
