Errors when posting

  • I’m having similar issues as another 1 star reviewer.

    Stops me from posting any changes. Another 1 star review pointed out this plugin isn’t even needed so I’ll be trying out that method. Plugin used to work with previous WP versions but haven’t been able to get it to work since updates.

    *Edited to add: Tried using Menu under Appearance and it works perfectly. So I think this plugin is completely unneeded. Especially since it often has so many issues.

    Unfortunately the newest update broke the plug. Refuses to work now.

    Sad, it worked great before, as my previous reviews quoted below indicated.

    Below is my original 1 star review. I had issues getting the redirect to work. After about a week the plugin author commented that he was able to recreate the problem and gave me a solution. Also stated the issue I came across would be fixed in next update.

    Plugin works great now. Does exactly what I wanted and has a great author behind it.

    I followed all directions. Plugin allows for redirect but keeps my domain name in front of it. So it becomes jkcomics.com/www.mmocomicindex.com.

    I want it to simply go to www.mmocomicindex.com. Maybe it is an issue with the newest wp edition. Not sure but point is, it isn’t working currently.

    Before you post a 1 star review, could you try and work with the author to solve your problem?

    Hello JK Comics,
    first of all: thanks for choosing my plugin and thanks for your review.
    I was able to recreate your problem. To solve this, you have to enter the url in the following format:
    https://www.mmocomicindex.com
    The http protocol has to be declared. The redirection won′t work by just entering on the url without https://

    At the next update i am going to take care of this problem and implement a url correction.

    Now when you click, it redirects you to a white page with this text:

    “Red act
    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /wp-content/plugins/redirect-to-url/redirect-to-url.php:46) in /wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1178″

    Hello,

    as mentioned in the Description, the plugin is right now compatible up to 4.1.4
    I am still testing the 4.2.1 compatibility.

    Could you please explain your issue?

    I’ve already un-installed it. Good luck trying to fix it but I think its an unneeded plugin since I can create a custom link in the menu without it. Plus its not worth the hassle of it constantly breaking.

    im sorry that i couldn′t help you fixing your problem.
    Maybe the plugin is not needed for your case, but in comparison to the native redirection possibility, Redirect to URL gives the Option to open the link in a new tab, and Redirect articles (not only pages).
    Since the plugin seemed to work under it recommendet Version, i can′t understand your Rating for this plugin.

    i dont think that this conversation will lead to a productive solution of your problems. So please, from now on, watch out for the plugins correct compatibility to your WordPress version before posting a negative rating.

    Hello.
    Lack of timely updates is a common factor for rating level.
    Frequency of bugs and problems is a common factor for rating level.
    Usefulness and solutions are common factors in a rating level.

    Perhaps that assists in your lack of understanding. So please, from now on, watch out for all factors that attribute to rating, before you post dismissive comments.
