External links in the "widgets of sections". HELP

How are you doing today?

This should only happen if you’re using relative URLs in your links instead of absolute ones. From your example I’m assuming you’re not having https:// part in your link so the link is being treated as a relative URL.

Adding something like this should fix the issue:

<a href="https://www.example.com">example</a>

I am having the same issue here too. For example, within the ‘Our focus section’ in Widget I type in the following so that link opens up in new tab:

Click here for: <a href="https://www.google.com/" target="_blank">Google</a>

But when I save it, I get this:

Click here for: <a href=\"https://www.google.com/\" target=\"_blank\">Google</a>

I think the only way is to hard code it by going into the HTML file. Speaking of which, where can I find this?

Love to hear your thoughts.

I’m having this same problem on the “Our Focus” widget. I have tried multiple different ways to get it to save correctly.
