• I have external links opening in new windows globally on my site… but is there any easy way to exclude one specific page from opening external links in a new window?

I’ve had a look at the documentation but I can’t see how to do this. If not, is there a way of editing htaccess to force this, perhaps?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

This is actually the first time I’ve encountered a request for a specific page.

What type of page is it? Are there many links? Does it lead to the same domain? Is the domain used on other pages, if yes to prior question?

The page is an auto-updated page of Instagram images: each image has a unique link (some external are links, some are internal) behind the image.

On the rest of the site, we want every external link to open in a new window, but on this one specific page, I was wondering if we could force all links to open in the same window?

It is a bit of a strange request perhaps! But thank you for any advice – much appreciated.

So would you not want any External Links processing on this page or you just don’t want the target=”_blank” applied to links, but still want rel=”nofollow” on them?

My gut it telling me I may need to add some filters or action hooks during processing and then specific code can be added on the site to look for the page and apply special rules. Your answer may help in the “right” decision.
