External resource conncetion caused backend delay

    Hello,

    We encountered serious delay when we access backend, our the server provider monitor shows there is some external connections to some Javascript resouce or CDN.

    Unfornately, for secrutiy consideration, most of servers are forbidden any external conncetions, is it possible to make those JS local host?

    Hi Alex,

    The only external src used is font-awesome CSS file from its own CDN, is that what you are referring to?

    Yes, maybe you would like include those into plugin, you know the speed of accessing the cloudy resources from CDN vary lot in different country.

    Hi Alex,

    We prefer to keep the fonts as a CDN but you could change where WP looks for the fonts to a local version with some code.

    I have not heard anyone have problems with this, where about’s are you located?

    Our server is in china, and any global sites were blocked by a national fire named Great Wall, so we can not access any sites like google map, google fonts, twitter, Facebook, yahoo.. can you image I need use vpn everyday to access www.ads-software.com? ??

    So we always host google fonts on local server, or remove that completely. It I would be great if you like to resolve it, but if not, I would show my understanding, thanks, and have a nice day.
