Extra headings open

I have installed this jquery vertical accordion menu and it is working well, with the exception of when a link that is in more than one top level heading is clicked. When that happens, all headings with that link under them are opened.

For instance, please go on this page https://www.biotech.iastate.edu/wp_single/ and click on “For Researchers” and then virtually any of the subs underneath it.

I would like only one top level navigation menu to be open at a time.
