Extra padding portfolio page

Hi, I am having a portfolio page with a image slider but I am unable to add some extra empty lines between the menu and the portfolio content. (normally adding padding in the row does the trick, but in this case this only adds padding to my text and not the portfolio slider)
Can you advise how to put some extra empty space for example 20 pixels between the menu and the portfolio page?
