Extra Profile Info created – not sure why

    Hi, I did an import, but confused as to the results.
    Here are the fields in the order and upper/lowercase that I used in the .csv file which was saved from an excel spreadsheet:
    Username
    Password
    Email
    first_name
    last_name
    display_name
    nickname
    user_nicename

    I then did the import. Went fast! ??
    The user_nicename didn’t get imported. ??

    Also, when I went to WordPress Dashboard > Users > Profile, I saw the following on the user profile page near the bottom:
    Extra profile information
    first_name
    last_name
    display_name
    nickname

    This image link displays the .csv file format, the profile top of page, and the extra profile info in the Profile page.

    I am confused on why these 4 fields are showing as extra profile information as I thought they are default wordpress fields according to the info in this plugin and WordPress default profile data. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/wp_update_user.

    3 questions:
    1. Can you tell me how to delete these Extra Profile fields if they were created? I am somewhat comfortable getting into the wordpress database if you tell me the sql statement to delete these fields if needed.
    2. How I can import the all the above fields for my next import without creating the Extra Profile Information area?
    3. How can I get the user_nicename data to be added?

  • Yes, doubled in the profile. Also the street address is showing blank. Not sure why. I don’t have any characters, but I will try without the numbers in case there is something being stripped out because of them. That is the only thing I can think of since the other fields are ok and don’t have numbers.

    Maybe a bug of new version, that’s strange because no part of profile have changed in this new version.

    Respect to mjcraig, email position have changed in the CSV, have you seen it? This should be the problem.

    Please, redo the process using the new file format and tell me then.

    I noticed that the email position has changed. I had to delete the user accounts and upload the proper CSV file again to fix that.

    I still have all my extra fields duplicated though.

    Hi i have the same problem.
    How to remove the duplicate profile fields?

    i am using the last wordpress 4.22 and last plugin 1.4

    Have you tried to deactivate the plugin?

    You can also try to activate it again.

    I experience the same problem, the user meta identifier appear with field.

    The problem disappear after I deactivate / Activate plugin.
