  • It looks like in the switcher.css file, on the first line, is this:

    body {
    margin-top: 240px !important;
    font-size: 16px !important;
    }

    You need to delete that margin-top.

    it seems you are running a bad copy of a premium theme;

    Hi cassihl, would you know where I should find the switcher file? Coz I do not see it anywhere my styles folder or anywhere in my files. I am assuming there is a code like this that creates that extra annoying space above my header but please tell me how i could delete it. thank you.

    Hi alchymyth, thanks for the good suggestion. you’re right, it could be the theme but i was just exploring all possibilities that maybe i could resolve it without waiting for the theme developers using an idea from wordpress folks. I just bought the theme and it takes awhile (4-6 weeks) before they provide access to the theme’s own forums which I’m not sure why.

    Here’s the full link: https://www.gabfirethemes.com/demos/theme-switcher/switcher.css It does look like a problem with the theme. It looks like you’re reference files from the theme’s demo.

    Ok, so you mean there is no way I can delete this from my files since it is calling the code directly from the demo? Are you sure there is no other way? Surely there should be a way to delete this. Please help.

    In your header, try deleting this line:

    <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://www.gabfirethemes.com/demos/theme-switcher/switcher.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />

    by the way, what is the use of switcher file? since i’ve deleted it, how will it affect my site?

    I honestly have no idea. I’m not sure why it was there to begin with. It looks like it was used by the developers in their demo version of the theme, so I don’t think it’s necessary at all.

    thank you so much for your assistance. in a way, i am relieved now. nothing seems to be affected by the removal of the switcher code so far. this is resolved. i appreciate everything you did to help me.
