    I’m actually using Mesocolumn on two sites, the other is an older version, I believe 3.5. My issue is that there is an extra div space above the header on the 3.8.1 version whereas the older version is working properly. I’ve added the header image through the theme options on both sites. I can’t figure out how to get rid of the extra space on the latest version.

    I somehow fixed the top spacing issue when I was trying to eliminate the no comments allowed on this page message. Go figure. However, there is a lot of space between the header and the second nav bar.

    BTW, I love the mesocolumn theme. I use it for a blog at work, and now it seems to have become a staple for my friends and acquaintances.

    on a side note, I’m having problems with the sizing of the header images. I set the size at 1440 pixels wide and designed the header, but when it uploads it cuts off the left and right of the graphic. When it asks for cropping, I crop to the ends of the image, but it still cuts it off. Any thoughts. Same link as above.

    the header seem fine to me.
    add this to theme option->custom css for the margin issue

    #custom .container-wrap {margin: -1.875em 0px 2em;padding: 0;}
    #custom .content, #custom #right-sidebar {padding-top: 1em !important;}

    Hi Richie,
    I really appreciate all of you help with this. I know just enough to be dangerous. ??

    I’m including a screenshot of what I’m seeing, and what my friend sees on her computer. I can also provide the actual image so you can see what it being cut off.

    Here’s the live link to the site.

    Here’s a link to a screenshot of what I see.
    Thanks,
    Jamie

    The header image you’re using on hollanderrealty is cropped-hollanderheader11.png at 1440 x 150px. That site looks fine on my laptop computer, however the header image is actually being cropped on the ends, it just doesn’t notice. (Your head & shoulders photo is close to the left margin, but on the original image there is more of the blue line to the left.)

    The header image you’re using on professorreslestate is cropped-profresh-header.png at 1440 x 325px. If you compare the two original images, apart from the difference in height, there isn’t as much white space at either end of the second one, so I think you’ll need to redesign it along the lines of the first one to allow for some cropping in the browser.

    Unless Richie knows otherwise of course ??

    try add this to theme option->custom css
    #custom #header-overlay { background-size: 100% auto; }
