• I’m preparing a wordpress website, which uses multiple themes. I have a customised Tempera theme on a front page and another theme (strong modified Appliance) set for blog and the other pages.

My goal is to have the same menu working on all my pages. I have almost ready to use menu on the front page (using Tempera theme) and I like it to be my one and only menu for the whole website.

Could you please help me do it?

  • Your menu will be same across all your themes. It is your style that makes it look different. If you want to make menu look consistent, you should use exactly same style sheet in all of your themes.

Create a new file for your menu style sheet and make sure that none of its style is being overwritten by any other style rule.

If the menu is complex and include some javascript as well try to convert the menu code to plugin instead. In that case same menu code/setting would be used no matter you switch to whatever theme..
