  • You should ask the .com site. This site and support forum does not provide support for the hosting offered at the .com.

Your website is not actually hosted on wordpress.com is it? Because otherwise, why would you have a hosting company? So there’s no point in asking wp.com for help: ask the volunteers here at www.ads-software.com instead.

It’s sensible to use a third party tool to assess page loading speed. Usually you can get some clues to help you figure out what’s going wrong.

First test I ran, Pingdom’s tool couldn’t even load the page, timed out after a minute of trying.

Second attempt it said your page size is 2.5mb with a load time of 2.14s. Which could probably be improved upon (caching, reduce the number of requests etc) but doesn’t explain the previous delay. Nothing in the results gave an obvious clue as to what the problem is.

Third attempt the site wouldn’t load again, so the problem is inconsistent. It could be a WordPress problem, but I’d guess it’s the server/hosting.

The DNS Health Checking tool – https://dnscheck.pingdom.com/?domain=panopticon.space – said all is well.

So this is something to take up with your hosting company, who have passed the buck rather too quickly and in the wrong direction, which doesn’t inspire confidence.

Looks like you’re using a company called Runhosting – I notice they’re offering paid and free hosting. If free is what you’re on, lower your expectations!
