• I was wondering why this functionality isn’t built into WordPress. It’s a very common scenario to have clients uploading huge images that slow down, and even break the system.

    Well, at least he deserves some kind of medal, just for the amount of time and bandwidth he’s saved Mankind.

    Quick calculation: the plugin has been installed 80,140 times.
    On a conservative estimate that’s at least 100 Mb x 80,000 = 976.562 Gb

    Time wise, also under a conservative estimate, at least 10 hours x 80,000 = 91.2636 years

    And I’m only taking into account the time and bandwidth saved by developers, administrators, and authors at the back-end. If a website receives on average 1,000 visits a month, go ahead and do the numbers …
