Ezine Plug-in not activating

    Hi, this is what I get when I try to activate Ezine plud-in.

    Could not contact the EzineArticles.com submission interface. Possible causes include:
    * A firewall may be blocking the server from making outbound requests to https://api.ezinearticles.com/.
    * PHP may not be allowed to open connections on your server.
    * https://api.ezinearticles.com/ may be experiencing downtime.

    I have check my firewall and even disabled it. But same problem
    I have check Ezine ok and no problem their.
    So I can only assume PHP issue.

    Can some tell me what it is and how do I fix it.
