Hello, I am trying out your plugin over the popular Wordfence option.

One thing that I am quite unsure of, however, is your firewall and its compatibility with Ezoic (My ad & optimization partner). You see, Ezoic uses a proxy to display your site to visitors. Ezoic itself uses its own set of many IPs, which relays visitor IPs to their own IPs before displaying them your proxied site. See list here- https://support.ezoic.com/kb/article/how-to-fix-origin-errors (there is an attachment with all of the IPs at the bottom of that page).

Wordfence has an IP option where you can whitelist the Ezoic IPs and set it so that it detects IPs being served via a proxy. This ensures it can accurately detect the visitor IPs, else, for example, it may block a bot or hacker on an IP, and later a completely normal user may try to access your website via that same IP, because of how Ezoic relays the IPs and then it may block them.

I am not sure if your plugin takes this into account. I can see on my account dashboard that quite a large number of traffic requests are blocked- about 40% or so. I know my site gets quite a lot of bot login attempts, so it might just be that, but it might also not.

Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks. I am going to switch back to Wordfence for the meanwhile, but I prefer your plugin so as soon as this is resolved I’ll be happy to switch back.

    Regards.

    Hey!

    Thank you for your email.

    1. Yes, if a request is coming directly from the same source, our plugin will flag those IPs as well.

    2. We do provide an option to Whitelist IPs. You would not face any issues regarding this using our Plugin.

Let us know if you have any additional questions & our team will assist you.

    Regards,
    Aman Kedia
