• Hey everyone,

I recently installed the F8 Lite theme by graphpaperpress and i’m having 2 issues.

first, all the thumbnails it created are stretched out. new posts work fine, but my archive of posts are all stretched and skewed, as if the theme made the thumbnails incorrectly.

also, it’s set up to display a slideshow of images on the main page. how can i change that to place a still, banner image instead?

    any help would be awesome!
    thanks,
    oliver

  • I’m working (and having trouble with) this theme at the moment, too, but I think I can fix your bugs (if you’re still using the theme & haven’t given up yet!).

    1) Check that your thumbnail images are 310x150px in size, or are of a size that will squeeze to those dimensions in proportion, ie 620x300px – the thumbnails need to be this size to work.

    2) The simplest (although probably not the best) way to achieve this is to only place a single image into any 1 post with the “image” custom field and the value being the URL to the image you want, sized at 950x435px.

Alternatively, create a folder named “slideshow” in the main F8 folder and only place a single image in it – as per their instructions for creating a static slideshow in the INSTALL.html file.

    Hope that helps.

i think you can go onto theme options and slect drop down box for the slideshow options and just pick “single header image”.

when it previews your posts on homepage. my images are skewed and stretched but when you click on the post its fine within the post

heres my site, youll see what i mean. any help?

    zakchamb;

I hope this is not a foolish question, but I have been looking everywhere and been trying to get my menu along the top part of the screen like it is on your site. Are you still using the F8-lite theme? If so, do you have any bookmarked sites on how to work with this theme more? The author made a great theme, but lacks support of it without wanted to get paid handsomely for just a couple of questions.

    TIA…

no i havent, its another free theme. just search free portfolio themes.
not long changed it. but needs changing again as it doesnt have widget compatibilty.

sorry. i can guess that on the f8 lite you can go into the html/ css depends where, and resize the header to a smaller one or i guess if you can find the code that places the menu and submenus then you could just cut it to the top. im not sure youll have to send me the link. and ill try to help if not lets hope some one with experience can help us.

I’m using the f8 lite theme but i’ve got troubles creating a static page. Mine (https://audekonan.com) shows the title “Home” and the widgets whereas i don”t want it to appear on the static page. What should i do?
