Facebook and Whatsapp not showing title, metadata and thumbnail

When I try to share my article on Facebook or Whatsapp using the floating share icons, both platforms are not showing the thumbnail or the meta description of my article. In the case of Facebook, it is not even showing the title of my article.

How can I rectify this?

It’s related to Open Graph Meta Tags. If you haven’t already installed any plugin for this, you can install our plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/heateor-open-graph-meta-tags to take care of this. After this, navigate to Facebook debugger tool (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/) and debug the webpage for the Facebook sharer to grab proper content.
For Whatsapp share to show the image, the image in “og:image” meta tag should be less than 1200 pixels in dimensions.
