• Same issue that others mentioned – Facebook banned my account when trying to add a button to my page and connecting to this plugin. Do not risk installing this.

  • Hi @sidrarubel,

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. That must be really frustrating!

I’d like to clarify that the ban isn’t due to the plugin. Typically, Facebook restricts accounts when they notice unusual activities on the account. I recommend contacting Facebook support so they can look into the issue.

    Hi @sukafia,

Thank you for your reply. I realize simply installing the plugin doesn’t trigger the ban, but the fact that Facebook sees connecting to this plugin when attempting to add a button a Facebook page as “unusual activity” is not great. This shouldn’t be an issue for users to handle – ideally the plugin developers would connect with Facebook’s team to whitelist this action to avoid these bans (which many users seem to experience).

Since my account was re-confirmed, I’m worried to try connecting this again so am basically stuck without a “Buy now” button on my page. It is, indeed, quite frustrating.

For clarification on the action I’m referring to, here is a screenshot:

    Hi @sidrarubel

I agree it’s terrible that just connecting the plugin was detected as an unusual activity. While we’ve gotten a few reports of Facebook accounts being restricted due to the plugin, as far as I know, none of the reports was this specific or mentioned this exact issue. (Your report provides specifics and a screenshot that’ll be helpful in investigating the issue)

I’m going to raise this issue with our product team so they can connect with Facebook to investigate and address it.

In the meantime, can you try setting up two-factor authentication on your Facebook account and attempting the setup again?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I would just like to know if this ban issue regarding integrating the plugin has been fixed by Facebook.

    Hi @doctor-web,

Facebook for WooCommerce does not have a ban issue to be resolved within the plugin. To use ads, catalogs, and shops, Facebook may require you to verify your account. They might also temporarily request additional verification if you connect via a different location than usual. This is to keep your account and the platform safe.

If you are experiencing an issue using Facebook for WooCommerce, please create your own support topic, as we are unable to provide support in review threads.

    Thanks!
