Facebook button does nothing. When hovering over it, you see that it shows the site’s own url instead of a link to Facebook.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Does this button show on mouseover on your end https://www.screencast.com/t/n5jQ3SELZDH?

Clicking the rectangle button will share the post/page on Facebook.

No, like I said, hover/mouseover shows my own site’s url.

ah, now I see! One has to click the rectangle, not the Facebook icon! That’s not very intuitive…

That’s because you can have more than one function for the Facebook icon e.g. like/share/visit. However, in this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium you can choose not to display the tooltips on mouseover when only one function is selected for a particular icon.

It seems to me that when only one function is selected for an icon, then by default there should be no tooltip and the button should take one straight there. This is actually the case for the Whatsapp icon. When both a Whatsapp and a Facebook icon are being offered to the user, and the Whatsapp one goes directly to Whatsapp, then this makes the tooltip on the Facebook icon quite inconsistent and non-intuitive, as evidenced by my own experience.

Thank you for your feedback. We’ll think about making this available also in this plugin. At the moment this is possible only in https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium.
