    Facebook App ID is not mandatory for Facebook Comments to work at your website. However, App ID is required to moderate the comments. You can install the add-on at following link to moderate comments:

    So would it be correct to say that you designed the plugin to work in such a way that the user would not be able to moderate Facebook comments unless they purchased your other plugin? I am asking so I don’t waste any more time trying to figure out why I can’t get the meta code from Facebook to work properly.

    You can integrate the meta tags yourself to moderate Facebook comments, if you are familiar with WordPress coding and don’t want to purchase the add-on.
