  • I also cannot get this plug-in to work under IE, and I have tried all sorts of code hacks and CSS manipulations. And yes; I had th language setting in the header.

I’m amazed that it was released with so much unreliability in a common browser, as bad as IE is.

I’ll keep checking back here for an answer, and I’ll post one if I get it.

    Saludos y Gracias.

Hi i got a problem with IE8, i can login without problems, but when i post, it show FB_1766003417 post:, didn’t show the name. How i can fix?

Another question i got its how i can show just the message box when the user is login in the site.

    Regards and thank you.

    Hi,

I’m having problems installing the FB connect plugin on one of my two blogs. I don’t think it’s got anything to do withe the theme because they’re both from the same designer. I followed exactly the same procedure so I don’t know what went wrong.

When I try to logout or invite friends, I always get a 403-error:”You’re not authorized to view this page”. In FF the error-massage says: “You don’t have permission to acces /wordpress/ on this server” I changed the permission via chmod but that didn’t produce the desired effect. I also tried to add /wordpress/ to the URL of my blog as the connect-URL in the FB-appilcation but unfortunately without any result. Does anybody know what might be the cause here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello.

This plugin is quite nice, thanks. Not sure what happend, but the only time I see my picture is if I login. I see another user with the same issue as well as the issue on other sites.
Is this a privacy setting somewhere on the facebook side?
    Site is HERE

    Thanks,

Right on. This seems to be working pretty well, but there’s one minor little goofer going on. When I put things in quotes, the latter quote comes out differently, and on some browsers as a bunk character. See this screenshot:

    https://www.triplepundit.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wacky-quote.gif

That’s on Chrome, FF and ie8, altough some users don’t see the box.

I have traced the problem (I think) to something FBConnect does with the header. Look at this:

    <html xmlns=”https://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml&#8221; xmlns:fb=”https://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml&#8221; dir=”ltr” lang=”en-US”>

How is facebook sneaking in there?

    Blog is here – https://www.triplepundit.com

Another oddity is that the “publish this comment to facebook” checkbox does not appear on some browsers. FF in XP for example. But on Mac it works fine. Anyone got some resources to figure that one out?

How can I embed facebook connect without the widget?
