• Hi guys – facebook won’t recieve many events – shows about 30% – 40% of total number of page views and doesn’t show purchsases at all. I’ve seen that you advised earlier today that there is some problems with siteground (my host). I’ve contacted them but they didn’ find anythinig wrong.
    Any idea?

    Hello,

We only suspect possible Siteground issues with Conversion API, not the pixel in general.

When you say Facebook won’t receive many events, where do you look for them exactly? Under Ads Reports, or Events Manager?

Ads Reports will only show events related to your ads. And there are big upcoming changes related to Aggregated Event Measurement too.

Events Manager will show all events Facebook gets, regardless of their connection to ads.

That being said, did you test your Facebook Pixel? Do you see any problems?

Did you test the Purchase event? Is it fired when you do a transaction?

Do you use anything that can block the pixel, like a consent plugin? If yes, is the consent message visible enough?

All my traffic is coming from facebook. This is a new website we just launched. in the last few days I’ve seen about 100 visitors a day visiting the store (woocommerce analytics) but facebook ads manager shows only 30-40 visitors. Purchases that were made on the site didn’t show up at all.
I’ve tested the pixel with pixel helper. all the events up to iniciated checkout shows up correctly over there.
As far as I l know – nothing should block the pixel. Do you have any suggestion on how to check that?

Are the numbers inside Events Manger closer to the real ones? If yes, I assume that, for some reason, Ads Manger doesn’t report all events. You can contact Facebook’s support and ask for more details.

I don’t know exactly what’s the implementation stage for Aggregated Event Measurement, but once done, we won’t see all events reported under Ads Manager. Only the most important conversion event configured under AEM will be available. That’s probably not the case for you, at least not yet.

Did you test the Purchase event? Does it work? You need to do a real transaction and check if the event fires.

Do you see any Purchases recorded under Events Manager?

You need to check if you have any consent, cookie consent plugin installed. If yes, check if this plugin blocks tracking before consent is given.
