Facebook error: An access token is required to request

    Hi Folks,

    in midth of May 2014 everything still worked fine: SNAP could auto-post to my Facebook account, just like in the past month. fine.

    Today I realized that it didnt work anymore. I re-authorized the plugin on FB. no luck. I removed my website/app 100-countries.com from my FB account and re-authorized SNAP. still no luck. when I submit a test posting, I get:

    Does anybody know what the problem might be?
    I would really like to use that plugin in the near future but I’ve got no clue..

    Any hints are highly appreciated!

    Please update plugin to the latest version and re-authorize your Facebook accounts. This error is a result of forced Facebook API 2.0 swtich that happened on the Apr 30, 2014.

    Hi,

    I’m using WP 3.4.2 and SNAP version 3.3.7

    In the WP admin panel there was no option to upgrade the plugin.
    Hence, I deactivated it. Removed the files, uploaded version 3.3.9 via FTP and activatd it through the admin panel.

    Then I removed my FB account from SNAP and deleted my SNAP App on Facebook via https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications

    Now I re-setup my FB account and authorized it (being redirected to FB, clicking yes etc.)

    When I try to submit a test post the error message is still the same:

    [Error] => An access token is required to request this resource.
    )

    Can you please provide any further hints?

    The website I’m talking about is https://www.100-countries.com

    P.S. Due to other restrictions I CANNOT upgrade my wordpress version.

    hmm.. I found a workaround, which isn’t the best but now it works:

    I removed my FB account from the SNAP plugin and installed the Plugin “Facebook Auto Publish”. Now I publish to Twitter via SNAP plugin and to FB via FB AUto PUblish..

    If anyone has a hint on how to fix SNAP for FB.. please let me know..
